Code Name : Geronimo

Some media sources are trying to make a point that mistakes were made. Everything from how the troops jumped out of the helicopters to the name of the mission is under a microscope. Define the meaning behind the name. It's "Geronimo". The media is claiming that some Native Americans are insulted because of it. Here's a quote from Steven Newcomb, a columnist for the weekly newspaper Indian Country Today, "Apparently, having an African-American president in the White House is not enough to overturn the more than 200-year American tradition of treating and thinking of Indians as enemies of the United States,". Sorry, but I disagree Mr. Newcomb. No one is considering this very important fact. The name Geronimo is used to express exhilaration, esp. when leaping from a great height or moving at a high speed. Also, to define bravery. Geronimo was a brave man. He fought for a cause. He wanted his people to have their own homeland or at the very least to be treated as equals. After all, he was a native American. Now I would like to suggest that everyone in the press STOP trying to find mistakes in killing bin Laden and focus on more positive aspects of what this means for America and for the world. It is my opinion, that terrorist all over the world are shaking in their boot straps. They know if bin Laden can be found, they might be next.
